Production
Where our quality takes shape
A brand cannot exist without a past to tell, and Monia Mancinelli’s company has been narrating its story for over 30 years through a rigorous selection of the finest Italian yarns and the artisanal value of its knitwear.
The backdrop to Monia Mancinelli’s reality, an Italian designer and daughter of artisans in the Made in Italy knitwear scene, is the beautiful city of Bastia Umbra, the perfect meeting point between passion for the territory and artisanal tradition, fully represented by the uniqueness of the craftsmanship.

The team of professionals behind the tailoring creations is driven daily by a strong passion to create something exclusive that can withstand the test of time and the continuous evolutions of the fashion world, with the sole aim of conveying the refinement and value of true Italian style.
The production begins with soft, high-quality cashmere flakes that travel from Mongolia to Italy, where they are transformed into delicate and pure threads. Thanks to the constant checks to which they are subjected, they not only respect the environment but also align with our qualitative and aesthetic philosophy.

After studying the designs and evaluating every single facet, we move on to the production phase where we personally oversee each stage of the creation and post-creation of the garments, from prototype preparation to weaving, finishing, washing and ironing, touch-ups, and finally to the final packaging. This modus operandi has allowed us to become a leading production partner among the most renowned brands in the Italian and international fashion scenes.

To support the various production phases, the qualified staff at Monia Mancinelli relies on over forty state-of-the-art machines to create intricate knitwear techniques, such as intarsia and full garments in different fineness levels, always using the finest yarns and with a single guiding philosophy: to use technology as a means and never as an end.

The flagship products of our production are the refined cashmere knitwear pieces, where the high quality of the weaves and intricate stitching serve to enhance and highlight the value of this extraordinary material.
Through the exemplary craftsmanship of our professionals, the deep passion for artisanal quality, and the meticulous attention given each day to selecting only the finest cashmere fibers available, we aim to create something that communicates to you our identity and care for the raw material.

In spring, when the weather becomes milder and the first timid rays of sunshine begin to warm the air, the shepherds proceed with collecting the undercoat of the animals through a special “combing” process. This involves passing a comb over the underbody areas of the animal, where the fibers are softer and denser.
What makes cashmere the diamond of yarns is not only the skilled process of fiber collection but also the quantity that can be obtained. Indeed, from a single Hircus Laniger goat, between 150 and 200 grams of Duvet are collected each year, which means that to make a cashmere sweater, fibers from at least four goats are needed.

We firmly believe that when love is put into what you do, the results are not only visible but also felt. That’s why, in our cardigans, jackets, and cashmere knitwear, we choose only the most exceptional quality fibers, because we want you to be enveloped in a softness so tender that you’ll find it hard to part with it.
The secret behind Monia Mancinelli’s cashmere garments is the perfect fusion of research, quality, and craftsmanship. These three fundamental ingredients allow the company to continue thriving through trends, emotions, and time. For us, such an authentic meaning can only be the truest expression of creativity and passion.
